Now that summer has ended and fall has began, here at Gio’s Garden we are taking a look at where we are at. So hard to believe that we have had our doors open for 3 months already. And in those 3 months we have done so much. Along with our open house, Rock For Respite, Golf Outing, a modification of our garage into a usable space, and a new living garden, more importantly we have provided 66.5 hours of respite for area families. That may not sound like much, but think of it this way:
66.5 hours of a parent being able to breathe knowing that their child is being taken care of.
66.5 hours of a parent being able to focus on something other then their child with special needs.
66.5 hours of children with special needs receiving personalized activities to meet the goals they are working on.
66.5 hours of benefiting the children, the parents, the whole family.
Without the support of Gio’s Garden’s friends, volunteers, donors, family members, and the community we would not be able to have given 66.5 hours of time to our children and families. Thank you!
