Things I Learned During My “Gio Leave” (part 3) from Charlotte

August 27, 2012 by geof@giosgarden.org

  1. Personal Care/Respite Workers are awesome and don’t get paid enough to be a carbon copy of me ☺ (photo attached)
  2. Absence does make the heart grow fonder until you pick up a little kid named Benicio after 20 days and he’s 100% naughty right away.
  3. Pasta, in any form, is a popular food to bring people in the hospital.
  4. Recovery period seems more difficult than the actual time waiting during surgery.
  5. Mysterious gifts from “god” are awesome.
  6. I can and do handle/juggle a lot more than I realized.
  7. Meltdowns are necessary and can be beautiful.
  8. There’s more to do with my life but I don’t know what it is or what the hell I am doing right now.
  9. Miracles do exist.
  10. Sorry is the hardest word to say.
