Volunteers and interns interact, play, supervise, and provide care for the children, while being supported by Gio’s Garden Staff members. Children ages birth through six years old with special needs attend Gio’s Garden Respite Program. There will be a variety of activities offered throughout the day to meet the needs and interests of each child. Gio’s Garden is open 7 days a week: weekdays from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM and weekends from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Volunteers will be used during our busiest times to assist with activities. Many of these opportunities are in the evenings and on the weekends. Volunteers and interns can be scheduled every week or every other week, while others serve as needed.
Professional volunteers are also welcome at Gio's Garden! We have music therapists, dog therapy, a librarian, Martial Arts, and so many more amazing people coming in to work with our kiddos.
